Hello Harryholics! So I know that some of you have heard that I was going to be making an announcement regarding something in my life. Before I do that I want to say that I have fully thought this through. I think it is time that I take action on getting a certain part of my life back in order. I thank all of my friends who have offered me support and guidance throughout this entire process. Anyone on to my announcement. Harryholics and friends I am announcing that starting next month I shall be returning to Grindr and possibly Manhunt. I have been away for going on 2 years now, and I fully believe that it is time for me to get back in the game. I think that it is important to give my private life a boost as well as possibly get some along the way. Thank you all for your support throughout this process. And one more thing....please LOL right now thanks its called satire. But seriously I am getting back on those sites. Its time Harryholics, its time.

Hello Harryholics! So lately I have been watching a pretty interesting documentary series on Margaret Thatcher. I tell you nothing makes me LOL more than seeing her call the Europeans and the UN a "bunch of weak fools." I started wondering what do I like about this old bird? I mean I have always listed her as one of the people I admired. Surely it could be that amazing overbite and glorious colored old lady outfits that she wore. Or maybe it was those handbags she always carried. I always imagined her carrying bricks in there, in the event she needed to hit an opponent over the head. I have to say I always admired her girt. Her take no prisoners or no shit attitude when it came to business. It didn't win her any friends, but judging from her comments in this documentary she didn't really care. The friends she did have always mentioned that she was complete opposite when around them. Quite a nice and funny person to be around they said. This all got me to pondering what does this all sound familiar. Because frankly its me. We all have our "public personas" or what everyone expects us to be. I can say that if you know me by what I am like in public or around you with other people then you seriously don't know ME. I know that I am completely different in private. I actually describe myself as boring. I think I am far more entertaining when in public or around others. There are the few though that actually like me both ways scrambled and over easy or in other words public and private Harry. I always used the phrase that I would never date myself because I am just damn boring in private. I have to say though in this economy boring is rather affordable. I mean you don't have to take me out and buy me dinner and drinks, and maybe score some coke later. Yeah I totally like coke late at night. Wait what...yeah I like coke as in COLA. Geez Harryholics get your heads out of the gutter. I love myself way to much to destroy my nose. Where was I? The point is you either know me or you don't. Which Harry do you know? With that all being said and all these thoughts I compiled, the Tony Blair documentary should be a total trip.

Year in Review 11/4

Hello Harryholics! Its now time to the retrospective and look back on the year that was 2011. I will be honest this was not that great a year for me. Frankly 2011 sucked and I am glad to be rid of it. I made some great strides in my life and had some setbacks. I did get to go on some amazing trips this year. The first eight months of 2011 for me were to put it lightly hell. So much turmoil was going on in my life. I look back and wonder how the hell I made it. One day at a time would be the answer to that. The thing is though somewhere in the ninth of tenth month of the year things really started to turn. Things started to become great, and since this turn around things have been going straight up. It goes back to the old statement that when you hit rock bottom there is only one direction you can go and that is up. Now I am much happier than I have been in YEARS. It is like I have found myself. It is a great feeling its like I have been M.I.A for years. To feel as if I am back and know that I truly am is a great feeling. Things are going well in school and I now have a book deal. Yeah things are great and I am not looking back. That brings us to the end of the this year. It was shitty and now the dead weight that was occupying my life is now gone. Things are looking up. Cheers to 2012 and good riddance to 2011.

Hello Harryholics! So I realize I took myself a little hiatus. Had to deal with finals, then I took a longer break to do birthday related things. Now I turn around and its totally time for Xmas. Geez I feel rather dizzy just thinking how fast these past few weeks have flown by. I have been quite busy round the homestead. I am continuing to redecorate and re-do my living room. It is for the most part done. Just a few pieces to put here and there. I have also been working furiously on my book. Churned out about 3 chapters and more are coming down the pipe. I have realized that this book once released might be a tad controversial. I am discussing topics that most of us honestly think but are too afraid to voice. Well those who know me well is that I voice things even the scary/controversial things. Now the only thing left to do is make it through this week. I am pretty sure that I am the only person left in this damn town. I guess its my job to hold the fort down. So the next episode will be after the holiday so I wish all of my Harryholics and wonderful Xmas, and try not to get pregnant.

Hello Harryholics! It is quite gross outside. I mean seriously 38 degrees and rain. Its totally good surfing weather. Don't get me wrong I do love me some cold weather, cause then I get to wear pretty sweaters. It was called to my attention last week that I had a typo on my post. AAAAHHH!! I was embarrassed I could not believe that slipped past me. For someone that is writing a book I am gonna have to get this shit in order....granted that is what editors are for. Hello Harryholics! So I know that most of you are getting ready to or are currently traveling to meet your families for Thanksgiving, or as I call Spanxgiving. I mean lets be honest the biggest thing to sell on Black Friday will be....Spanx. Thanksgiving is basically a calorie orgy. So what better way to get over your blue of Thanksgiving and you get to take your food anger out on people at Black Friday by buying some Spanx. Hell lets go a step further why don't you serve Spanx for Thanksgiving. I mean it could totally make a great meal especially if you poor gravy on it. You can line your stomach with Spanx therefore you won't ever gain weight again! So there ya go Harryholics go out and have a wonderful Spanxgiving!

Hello Harryholics! So the world of literature has been all up in my business these past few days. For one I have been working on a book report that I have to turn in this week. It was on Lincoln's Melancholy, and I will say after reading this book I had melancholy. Don't get me wrong I love some presidential history, but this book was basically a hysterectomy with a dust cover. I finished this book but damn it was painful. In other book news I continue to work on my book. I have been trying to decide if I want to talk about one big failure that occurred here recently in my life. No I am not talking about those 8 months of failure, I want to talk about one incident that honestly I don't really talk about all that often. Oh well I guess you all will have to see if/when it hit shelves. I know a few of you have asked if juicy details about my sex life will be on there. First off I wouldn't describe my sex life as juicy, and secondly I would say lack there of sex life. Just saying....

I take this week's episode of Harryholics Anonymous to bring my view on the current Proposition 26 which is up for vote tomorrow. I have kept my views on this issue to myself for some time. I now feel that is rather the pertinent and last hour to voice my opinion. Yes, I am a Republican, and I will vote NO for Prop 26 tomorrow. This proposition is nothing more than big government at its best. It is not and never should be the government's place to tell anyone what or how to attend to their own health care. Also the fact the this will over time increase the strain placed on our already strained welfare system is just downright irresponsible. To say that children should be given the chance is admirable, but we cannot deny that there are some cases where this is not a good idea i.e. a child of rape or incest. Usually the next statement is well we can put them up for adoption. Once again this is highly irresponsible. The state of the adoption system in this state is truly awful and overburdened. To place more children on this system is once again irresponsible. I want to now aim at my fellow Republicans who are in support of this measure. Let me be the first to bring to your attention that these are the same Republicans who call themselves "fiscal conservatives." I would say that I fall under that category as well. However, how can some of my fellow Republicans call themselves that when the passage of the measure will increase the welfare system. I think it is clearly spelled out that will cost the state more. So ask yourself my fellow Republicans, is that really fiscally conservative? Also I want to reiterate the fact that this is big government at its best. My fellow Republicans you all know that anti-big government has also been an ideal of this party. How can you support a measure this is nothing but big government? I think some of my fellow Republicans need to look themselves in the mirror tonight and ask: am I selling my ideals and my party out all for the sake of religion? Because for any Republican to vote yes for this measure tomorrow is not a Republican and he/she should rip up their party card immediately. My friends I will vote no tomorrow for the fact that this is big government, will be fiscally irresponsible, and does not protect women from ectopic pregnancies or pregnancies induced from rape or incest. I can only hope that this measure does not pass.

Hello Harryholics! So I am tad busy this evening. I have clothes, paperwork, and luggage strewn around my bedroom and dinning room. Why am I doing this? Well I am off to my conference which is the rest of the week. I am quite ready and have been ready to go for some time now. It is sort of like a mini vacation. In other news, I have been making some head way on my book. I have been writing down idea(s) and chapters. I am trying to make this coherent as possible. It seems that something is going on today...not sure what it is. Oh yeah its Halloween! That holiday that sluts and guys who don't grow up celebrate. Haha I know I know that was rather harsh. Halloween is cool. It gives us older folks a chance to be kids again. Granted I can gorge on candy any day of the year. In a way this part of the year has the Gastronomic Trifecta Holidays as I call them. What I mean by this is Halloween you gorge on candy, Thanksgiving you gorge on um...Thanksgiving food, and then you have Xmas where you gorge on um...Xmas food and tons of alcohol cause family is involved. You know a vicious cycle, but hey its all in good fun.

Lose some weight now cause we are all about to slam some food soon

Hello Harryholics! I know I know I took a break last week. Some of you may/may not know is that I had jury duty all last week. It was nuts to say the least. It completely threw my entire week into a tizzy. Well I have no been released back into society to converse with you all. One thing that I have been seriously pondering lately is writing a book. Yes I know that is quite cheesy, but it is something that I am putting serious thought into. I want to tell my story. No I don't want to do an entire anthology about my entire life. I do however want to cover my life in the last eh year. Cause I think its been one hell of a year, and yes I am ready to talk about it and I mean ALL of it. It will be an interesting read. I know some folks want to peak behind the curtain and see what I have/and am currently up to. So I think this book will provide this peak. Also I want to educate others about everything I went through. There is definitely some psychoeducation that can take place. I definitely will not hold back punches and those punches will be directed at myself as well. I will keep you all updated on the progress of it.

Hello Harryholics! I tend to load my guns so I can have the ready whenever they need to be fired. I would say this describes how things are being handled on my end lately. I have decided along with my friends that I am naming the rest of my year the Harry Hawkins' #WinningTour. I need to start doing stand up again and this would be appropriate for the tour. Things are truly great right now, and are moving pretty fast. Giving speeches, doing interviews, and making plenty of appearances, this is truly a life I have by now means expected but I am loving. I would never have thought about a month ago that my life could swing back in the positive column in the epic fashion that it has. I can say this my Harryholics, your leader is having fun! Energy Efficient Bulbs 2/4

Hello Harryholics! You will all be enthused to know that I almost died in the process of writing this episode. I walked over to my desk here at Harryholics Anonymous Global HQ, and I noticed that the bulb for lamp by my desk was flickering. Well I reached over and attempted to adjust the bulb only to have it explode. After picking myself off of the floor my first thought was someone just bombed my house. My second thought was why would GE try to kill me? As I was further pondering I noticed that my hand and face were bleeding. Well my face was just a minor laceration. My hand was also minor but blood was going everywhere from it. Now as I type I am patched up. So all of you should appreciate that I come here to share my week with you. Especially since I almost died via a suicide bomber energy efficient bulb.

Hello Harryholics! I am back for a new season. This episode I will make references to the song Neon Moon. It really defines where I am right now in my life. It seems when the sun goes down on my side of town, that lonesome feeling comes to my door and the world turns blue. Don't get me wrong I believe I am on a way better path now. I think the whole idea of what has happened to me thus far in the past eh..year or two just gets me down. But survival at this point is not an option but a requirement. I am sure some are wondering what I have been up to lately. Part of helping me get through all of this is I have written poetry. Yeah I know that sounds epicly cheesy and emo, but I find all my inhibitions are pretty much GONE and it seems I can now write more freely. I think from time to time I will post some of them for you guys to read. I can say that my vision is no longer clouded. I see everything for what it is now. One thing is for certain though I will continue to spend my nights beneath the light of a neon moon.

Hello Harryholics! Usually here at HA we like to have fun and look at the lighter side of life. However today in this special edition of HA I want to pause and reflect on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. To quote a song: "where were you when the world stop turning, on that September day?" I look back at all of lives being on a continuum and that day sent us off on a completely different path. 9/11 changed all of our lives. I can speak for myself especially because even to this day I break down to tears when I recall the people jumping from the towers on that horrible day. It was a traumatic thing to see and live through, and I hope that I will never see death on that scale for the rest of my life. All seemed lost. Our innocence, safety, and well being up in smoke. A remarkable thing happened however. The spirit of patriotism was seen on the streets of lower Manhattan, in the parks surrounding the Pentagon, and in a rural field in Pennsylvania. The spirit of those heroes will never die. The country united, healed, and here we stand ten years later. To the terrorists out there who planned this mission: you failed. We are stronger and we are united. Today we are not Democrats or Republicans, we are Americans. And all of us stand strong, and we all are united in remembering those who died that day. They will never be forgotten. God bless the United States of America.

Season Finale 8/3

Hello Harryholics! It is truly a season finale. The heat of the summer will continue to rage on for a few more months, but I feel as if this is more of an end to summer. The whole mentality and feel good nature that is associated with summer is now coming to a close. We are all back in school. We are back in the salt mines. One thing I have felt lately is this summer was overall not that great. I mean you can look at all the news headlines. I tend to look more at what I have been through. Call it self centered if you must, but I have to say the summer of 2011 has/and was true hell for me. I did however go on two amazing trips, and those I regard as a silver lining to this otherwise dark cloud. I even go as far to look back on the past year of my life. It just frankly has not been that great. In fairness I have made some big strides in major areas, but at the same time I have fallen behind or have truly lost it in some other areas. I don't want to come across as whining, so it goes to where do we go from here? Truthfully I just want to close this chapter of this summer or hell lets just say the last year of my life, and truly move on from here. Edge of Glory? Cheesy but in a sense true. The road looks long and rough from here Harryholics, but I have true solace in knowing that I have one weapon in arsenal. That weapon is my strength. I am going to come out of this. Don't you question it, and when I do make it through this my strength will be 100 times more than what it is now. And you can take that to the bank. So I leave at the finale of season 3. Of course I will have a short hiatus then return for season 4. Whats to come? Well I am doing the grad school thing so plenty of stories to come from there. In the meantime I will definitely rack up some epic quotes to pass along. And who knows what countries are going to be checking me out. So in the meantime stay classy Harryholics.

Hello Harryholics! I am very much happy to be even typing this week's episode. Some of you may know I was quite ill last week. Doctors had no idea and still to this day have an idea of what I was suffering from. I have coined it the "Weird Mutant Space Virus That Crawled Into My Ear in The Middle of The Night and Messed With Me...Bug." Yeah it was really weird. I had no appetite nor could I keep any food down. As of today I am feeling MUCH better. My appetite is slowly returning thank goodness. Lots of meetings and things coming down the pipe this week. It almost feels like school is back in session. Ooopps

I Think Sony Hates Me 6/3

Hello Harryholics! Ever had that feeling that someone just doesn't like you. Well I can say that about Sony. In the process of staying out of the wonderful cool air outside, I decided to go ahead and attempt to buy my new laptop. I customized and got ready to purchase and their website froze. So I had to start the entire process over again. Then I notice on my second customization that I am not being quoted the same price as before. Well five minutes later I get that problem resolved. Then I begin the annoying trek of checkout. Their checkout website is QUITE screwy. It flows about as well as a guy who has been constipated for 3 years. After navigating this mess of a checkout process, I was informed that my payment information was incorrect. Well I played with that for about oh...20 more minutes. Only to just finally give up on purchasing my new laptop today. It kept telling me my info was wrong. And you know you can only go over that and change certain things so many times till the process is just ridiculous thus why I gave up. Hopefully when I try this process tomorrow it will work much smoother. Maybe I should take a laxative cause that might ensure this will all flow.

Digital Genocide 5/3

Hello Harryholics! Took a hiatus last week to do a little va-k out to the west coast. Of course I have returned in one piece thank goodness. Was rather depressed with the idea of having to come back. Oh well we all have to get our teeth pulled at some point in our lives. I guess you could say the depression peaked when I wiped out all of my va-k pictures....yeah I did that. Finally got my iPhone back and the software had made 4 copies of ALL of my pictures. So in the process of going through there and killing off the clones, I accidently deleted all of my va-k pictures. Luckily I got to show them to two people before I committed digital genocide. The memories can live on in my head I guess. It really does chap my ass though because I had some great shots in there. I mean I put my dignity on the line looking like a tourist taking pictures of random things because I figured well I would have some pretty pics to show off once I returned....well fail. At least I still have my plane ticket stubs.

Hello Harryholics! Hope most of you are staying cool. We are stuck in the middle of a typical summer heat wave. When walking on asphalt I can usually hear the soles of my shoes sizzling. That is always a good sign. Recently I have discovered that I actually can eat Hot Pockets now. Considering I have not eaten one since 1998, who would have ever thought I would eat one again....but I did. I have been taking medication that limits my alcohol consumption. Lately that has been a huge drawback. I am off the meds for a short time so I can have a "hard splurge." Wish me luck on that. I have done more looking into the stats regarding everything here at HA. Apparently I have followers in Iran...yeah Iran. I would give a shoutout, but I am not really sure how. I will just say peace and lets keep it that way. Cannot wait for the season premiere of Damages tomorrow. Cannot wait to see who will get mauled by pigeons this season. Ooopps I think I gave a secret away. Now back to Hot Pockets are the MLB All Star Game.

Bottle Rocket 3/3

Hello Harryholics! I hope all of you survived the 4th of July holiday. Some of you may be nursing hangovers today, or some of you could be in the hospital because you blew your faces off with a firecracker. I for one almost killed myself on multiple occasions last night. I found an old stash of bottle rockets that I kept hidden for a special event. I then proceeded to hurl them out my back door. All was going well until one of them misfired and came flying back into my kitchen. Luckily I hit the deck in time to not be killed via bottle rocket to face. Best part was my adrenaline fueled fabulous idea to light one in my bathroom then slam the door behind me. Resulted in some smoke and a rather unpleasant smell for the rest of the evening. I still have a stash left I wonder what other things can I get up to with them....I know some of you Harryholics are also lighting torches and fetching your pitchforks because of a verdict in a high profile trial today. I only have two words to comment on that: reasonable doubt. Just saying....
ADVICE
When forming a lynch mob try to use more fashionable things as opposed to torches and pitchforks, that is so 19th Century. Try flaming disco sticks and pitchforks made from 100% recycled material. Just kidding don't form a lynch mob.

Hello Harryholics! Another week for us to tackle head on. Definitely some down time is being had on my end currently. Thursday of last week I went to a party and had some "beverages" and a good time of course. Friday myself and some friends decided to watch three consecutive movies at the theater. I will have to say that is the longest I have ever spent at a movie theater. Then on Saturday there was a dinner party at my house (Harryholics Global HQ). And of course I had some "beverages" and a good time that evening as well. So I think my goal for this week is some rest. It was brought to my attention that I did not post any pics from my vacation last month. I figured it would be a much better idea to just post them to the failbook. I also did live check-ins so you Harryholics could keep up with me. You all will be seeing some more of that in the near future stay tuned...I think another reason I need some rest is I lost my keys three times today. I know some of you are thinking well how is that different than any other day? Well when you drop your keys in the toilet and forget why they were there I think thats a loud call for rest. It seems I keep getting sidetracked in the middle of doing things as well. Could explain keys in toilet hmmmm....

Helloooooooooo Harryholics! Yes Indeed I am alive and well. I took a
bit of a hiatus between seasons, but what show doesn't do that eh? Have
been under the weather the past couple of days. Feeling somewhat better
today. I know some of you were wondering about when the show was going
to return well here is your answer. Some new developments to the show.
Numero uno Harryholics Anonymous has now been formatted to be viewed on
your smartphones. Really? Yeah apparently this was in demand, and now
you can keep up with me on the go whenever you need your Harry fix. The
other development is I took a look at my stats from Google and I must
say I was quite surprised. Apparently I have a significant "following"

Season Finale

Well Harryholics another season has come and gone. So much has changed in just these past few months that it is really hard for me just to grasp all of them. Technically today I completed my first four years of college (assuming my senior paper was okay). I know how some folks say it goes by fast, in my opinion it seemed so slow. So many things have happened over these four years. Of course I don't want to look back into the past I want to look forward to the future. What is coming down the pipe for yours truly. Well I am going out of town for a week and will not be back until next Saturday. Harryholics I need you to remain calm in the time I am gone. I shall be taking a trip which is something I desparetely need. I may/may not be keeping you all up to date during my trip. I have yet to decide if I shall be doing that, or if I will just drop off the grid for a few days. Stay tuned for that. I have been offered to attend graduate school where I am now. More than likely I am going to take this offer. Not too many details to offer on that right now, but as I said before stay tuned. To some of my colleagues who are also graduating congrats and cheers! You will receive your Harryholic diploma soon. And yes I guess you could say this is the official start of summer.....party time! Hello Harryholics! Things are definitely electric right now. There is something in the air could it be.....anxiety or maybe anticipation. The word due is totally my enemy right now. Every time I turn around something else is due. I can see the end of the tunnel. It is not far away, but it seems so far away. My sanity tank is running on empty. You know its getting close to the end when you start thinking about what you are going to do with your time off. Mine will consist of me laying around wondering what to do with my life. Don't think I am bitching, I am looking forward to that whole thought process. Luckily I have scheduled things out to where I do have some free time to just keep somewhat sane. The battle is looming though, time to start studying like crazy. The battle drums are starting to play. It is that time. The battle has begun.

Hello Harryholics! Welcome to this special Tuesday edition of HA (Harryholics Anonymous). Reasoning for this Tuesday edition is because I have not been feeling well the past few days. Yesterday was definitely the culmination of all that yucky feeling. I am okay today but SO much has been dumped on me in one day that it is crazy. Now time for the well painful update. Some of you reading this may come as a shock if you have not heard the news. I won't be surprised because I have not spread the news round. I did not get into Portland per say. I was offered a waiting list position in the event someone gets hit by a car and cannot go there. So naturally I was crushed considering how much work I put into it. Then I proceeded to do something very stupid which was drink myself into a stupor. Really regret that end of my decision, but I was told by a family member: "if I put that much work into it and I didn't get in I would be drunk too." That pretty much contributed to my weekend and the past few days being awful to say the least. I have been physically ill and emotionally flat. I honestly cannot fully recover right now because I have so much on my plate. Basically at this point I have to let the cards fall back down and see where they lie. No point in going into extensive planning right now. Especially being that my extensive planning got me to this point. On the happy side I am planning an EPIC vacation in May. At the moment it is looking like I might take a Transatlantic cruise to Portugal and Spain. Its going to be rather epic and I will be going alone. So that is more that I have to think about at this time. Trust me its on my mind ALOT. Cause I will be on a boat for 2 weeks by myself and 6 consecutive days will be spent at sea. So yeah I really need to think all of this through. The pros are I will have a suite, a butler, and oodles of other great perks for a rather low price considering. I shall keep you informed of my decision on that Harryholics. The last bit of tragic news is that I have so many projects, tests, and bullshit coming up in the next 2 weeks that I am pretty sure if I take this cruise the first thing I will have to do is dye my hair. Yeah its making me go slightly mad also coupled with the bad news that I received over the weekend. I had champagne wishes, but the caviar dreams will remain that...dreams.

Hello Harryholics! Another week to tackle. Another week closer to the end of the semester. Time really flies when you have a shit load of work to do. Seems like folks around me are nearing the end of their mental exhaustion capacity. Do not worry folks you are not the only one. I am basically juggling all of my end of the semester projects and grad school bs all with my lowly two arms. Yeah I am still waiting to hear accepted or not. It is truly nerve wracking, and I am not a fan of having my life in a sort of flux at the moment. Being that I am a senior some of these projects are HUGE. They are really coming down to the wire. Night sweats, lack of sleep, nightmares about giant papers killing you, its all part of the end of the semester blues or as I call it Procrastinationaphobia. Hopefully once I get this degree I can start cashing in on my champagne wishes. The caviar dreams are to come later.
ADVICE FOR THE WEEK
Keep fighting the Procrastinationaphobia. Its a giant 4 legged beast but just remember the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Hello Harryholics! I do believe we might need to press the pause button for just a smidge. Yes the rumors are true I finally got an iPhone. Yeah...I just got it and yeah.......IM ADDICTED! Granted this phone does make me feel rather dumb/old. I have not gone "app" crazy. I keep telling myself I will remain in control and not clutter up my iPhone like some people do. I will say my favorite thing thus far is the Face Time feature. Love that not only can I call you, but now I can call you and stalk you by watching you via my/your camera on your phone. Other than that its okay I guess. Alright now lets press the play button. My car is not with me at the moment. It is being completely overhauled. It was about time for an update. In the meantime I am driving a Lexus. Yeah such a downgrade....haha. Significant other got to ride the train. No that is not a perverted joke but good try. He actually rode the train to come up here to see me. For some reason the song "Morning Train" by Sheena Easton is now in my head. Seems the deadlines are starting to pile up. Its starting to dawn on me that this is the end of the semester and I will (knock on wood) be graduating in 4 weeks. YIKES! Hopefully this week or next week I will start hearing back from schools on whether or not I have been accepted to their fine programs or not. Frankly I am ready to know cause I am tired of being asked all the time! The countdown to the end of the semester has begun.

Hello Harryholics! No I am not talking about the hit legal drama, I am actually talking about the damage report from my spring break. For the many of you who have asked me today: yes I did return home today as opposed to yesterday. I got lucky and did not have class today. So yeah I got an extra day of spring break. I didn't check my email the entire time I have been gone. I now have enough emails to strangle a household cat. Grass is definitely taller in my yard since I left. I drove my car so much and so many miles that now it needs to be repaired (epic fail). My phone after many nights of craziness decided that this would be his last spring break and died earlier today. So the damage report is clear: back to school, tons of work to do, car thats messed up, no phone (well I am using an older phone of mine), yard that looks like shit, and above all a giant red mark on my face from reality slapping me as I arrived back at my house. Hope everyone else had an awesome spring break and cheers to Spring Break 2011: as it was and it shall be forever more a memory.

Hello Harryholics! As most of you know and are probably participating in it is that time of year again. Thats right its Spring Break. I know some of you have the wonderful privilege of going back to school this week. Do not worry I shall have fun for you. First thing I want to address is that last week's episode was rather watered down and weak at least in my opinion. I had alot of things going on that week to say the least. I had 4 tests and they were on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Also had an interview with one of the graduate schools I applied to. A total silver lining on a rather dark week was the my significant other came and spent some time with me. He also cooked dinner for me and describing it as fabulous would be an insult to just how great it really was. Now that week is over and we are at the current. My spring break plans are nothing grand on any scale cause frankly I am too broke to do anything grand. I am okay with that. I have spent the last few days with my significant other, and I am currently visiting a close friend of mine on the coast for the next 2 days. The last part of my spring break will be spent with my significant other. I know I can't get enough haha. It is that first day of spring break and really don't want to think about the end.

Hello Harryholics! Apparently a bunch of celebs were getting golden Oscars last night. I wonder if that is the same thing as a Hot Carl? Anyway.....I did watch the Oscars last night as usual. Seemed rather tame and boring this year. I was quite excited though that James Franco was hosting. One word can describe him: beautiful. The only problem was he was awful to say the least. I don't see him being asked back to host anytime soon. My best way of summing up his night was: beautifully horrible. Anne Hathaway was okay at best. It just seemed like at times she was trying too hard to be funny. Take it from me it doesn't take much. Enough about all that, my life is going just fine. All of my grad school paperwork is done and I am not awaiting notification of accepted or denied. Yeah I am quite anxious about it all. I don't have too much time to think about it though cause I have a MASSIVE test tomorrow. Professor has been talking about this test all semester. "90% of you are going to fail this test." That makes me feel oh so good about my odds. This week is not as busy as last week, which I survived obviously. Its nice to have a week to just relax a tad. Granted the only way I am going to relax is after this test is out of my life for good!

Had 2 meetings, and just finished my last one about 45 minutes ago. Yeah I am pretty tired. But hey like they say "ain't no rest for the wicked." Hello Harryholics! As some of you know it is President's Day. Most of you are like okay and? Well to finish your sentence I had the day off. Hello Harryholics! Yes I know the title suggests that this may be a hamburger related holiday. Actually its Singles Awareness Day aka Valentines Day. I am sure there is some single chick out there named Patty. So yeah its Valentines Day. I do have someone in my life right now, so giving of gifts and professing loves for each other was very nice. Its a day where you get closer with your significant other. The thing that bothers me though is what do you do after Valentines Day? Go back to just half assing your relationship. See thats always been my problem with the whole holiday. Everyone puts forth a huge effort for one day, when honestly that effort should be put forth into a relationship every single day. Its also sadly just another greeting card holiday...yeah. Now for the single ladies/gentlemen out there. Yeah today sucks, yeah seeing all these people being lovey dovey with each other does make you want to vomit, yeah those heart candies taste like chalk. But hey look at it this way: you saved money by not having to buy anything, and by switching to Geico. Most restaurants are doing half off dinners...SCORE. And hearts are usually covered in blood and fat since it is an organ....yeah romantic.

Hello Harryholics! It amazes how in the South it snows and people go ape shit crazy. Granted I've got like 5-6 inches of snow outside right now, but still keep cool people (no pun intended). Supposed to be a freaking cold day tomorrow (JOY). Also it will be 13 degrees tomorrow night. I am thinking I will have a permanent vagina after this cold weather. School won't open until 11am tomorrow. Um...when your first class of the day is at 11am that doesn't help too much. As of right now the diet thing is going great. But as of this moment I totally want a sandwich! I am basically fighting the urge. Maybe I could weld the fridge shut hmmmm......Or maybe Papa John's has a sleigh and they are still delivering hmmm......I am seriously having a nom nom attack. Lets hope I make it through the night.

Hello Harryholics! I hope everyone had fun watching the Super Bowl last night. You know that night of epic man love that it not gay but straight. For you nerds that didn't just do something....I also hope none of you saw the Star Spangled Banner. Yeah it was quite awful. Then Fergie clearly did a line of anabolic steroids before her halftime performance. She was seriously crazy and aggressive! For the 3rd year there was a Super Bowl get together here at my house. This year I wanted to limit how much food there was. I always and I mean always get stuck with leftovers usually more than I can handle. Since I live alone now I never want leftovers of any type. I think that is also coupled with the fact that I am on a diet (down to 151....Trim-Spa baby!). It never fails though the Monday after the Super Bowl is HORRIBLE. Usually have to down a whole bottle of Zantac and maybe get over a hangover. This year however there was no alcohol served. Why? Well no one really thought to bring any, and no one really wanted to drink. We must be getting old. Just finished working on my EPIC paper. Yeah the one that determines if I graduate or not. Needless to say I need a hammer to the face and a bottle of bourbon about now. My head is KILLING me.....

Failure Friday

Hello Harryholics! So I have to tell of this epic horrible day I had. My day started (should have been a hint of things to come) with a curtain rod hitting me in the head. Running on two hours of sleep I was not quite happy. Why did I have two hours of sleep? Because I had 2 tests today. YEAH! So I grab my book bag and head out the door then a random noise. What was that random noise? That noise was my book bag breaking. FYI: this is my 2nd book bag to go through this week. My original one broke on Tuesday. So to make things better its freezing rain outside and now I have no book bag and remember 2 tests to take. I finally made it to school and set my stuff on top of the car. Next thing I know my stuff is sliding off the top of the car and into the street. After doing a Hank Hill scream I ran toward my stuff, slipped and hit my head on my car door. Laying there having iced rain smack my face. Such a great feeling......Yeah Harryholics its been one hell of a shitty day. So its time to "pop a top" as they say. Cheers!

Hello Harryholics! Yes I am alive and kicking somewhat. To start off I have the most HORRIBLE looking haircut I have had in awhile currently. I look like Rachel Maddow. I literally look in the mirror and get angry. That is how much I hate it!!! So I am thinking about just shaving my head sometime this week. This is what I get for trying to get a hairstyle as opposed to just sticking to shaving my head like I usually do. Oh well at least I have made some people laugh. Hello Harryholics! Whew it has been an emotional roller coaster these past few days. I literally fled my home last Thursday. It was probably the most sketchy thing I have ever done. Had some friends worried cause I just up and left town. I went into panic mode when the verbal bombs started flying and basically said: "fuck this I am going out of town TTYL!" I really needed it though. Gave me a few days to just gather my thoughts and reflect on everything that happened. Also got to spend time with my significant other which was nice. I really got to see that he is good at helping me through stuff. He gives me valid and helpful advice. Something I really cherish in people, and something I do need at certain times. Its not like sugar coats things either, he really gets to the point and does it in a sweet but stern way. He gets cool points. I really want to punch babies though cause I have so much work to do this week! Its crazy!!! I actually just finished writing my prospectus for my senior paper. Yeah that thing that is gonna drive me more insane than I already am. Not to mention I have a test tomorrow that I sorta need to study for. Crazy week ahead.
ADVICE OF THE WEEK
My advice for the week is someone needs to be the captain of this ship cause its about to get bumpy! No actually the good thing to know about crazy weeks is that they pass. Once you get through them they are over, and you actually feel quite accomplished.

Hello Harryholics, I tell ya short weeks are quite impressive. Granted this is the last break I will be having for awhile. It was a rather boring and straight to the point type of day. Sent the last bit of my paperwork to Portland. That was rather epic. I do feel accomplished in a sense. I am still fighting this damn cold! I can say that taking Zicam helped me from going into a full fledged one. So I basically have a mild one at best. It still annoying as hell though. I have been cooped up in the house doing practically nothing so not much social interaction nor epic quotes to report at this moment sorry Harryholics. The only lengthy social interaction that I have had was talking to my significant other. We talked for quite a long time last night, which was quite nice. Will be seeing this person this weekend so....yeah hahaha. Hope the rest of you are having an okay week thus far. If you are having a boring one like moi welcome to the club and cheers!

Hello Harryholics! It seems I am fighting off another cold. My immune system seriously needs to do something ,because so far in the past 3 weeks I have been sick for 2 of them. Twas a 3 day weekend so I am sure everyone enjoyed it. I sure as hell did. Had some guests over for a dinner party on Saturday night. Neighbor of mine supplied all the foodage for this occasion. Granted I volunteered to heat up some pizza bites as an appetizer but NO! You can now see the extent of my cooking prowess. Some whale bacon and an Egg-o Waffle would be a great breakfast though. Besides that the weekend was great, especially visiting with some friends of mine. I am truly hoping I get to feeling better this week, because I might have some weekend plans. This is all under the assumption the giant academic hammer of justice doesn't smash my hopes of freedom.
ADVICE OF THE WEEK
You can't cook, who the hell cares!? As long as there is tv dinners and cancer around I say eat up. Seriously though I would like to take some cooking classes and better myself. Dancing classes too. I always wanted to break my foot while doing the foxtrot. The thing is, you may suck in some areas but you make up for it in other areas. If others cannot see what you are good at and only see your flaws, then maybe its time to remove yourself from that blinded group of people.

Hello Harryholics! So those of you who saw me earlier today probably thought I had been poisoned. Well I was ill because of a condition I have that decides to flare up every now and then. Hello Harryholics! I have indeed survived the arctic like weather we have been having today. Loved it when I went to class and it was 19 degrees outside. Oh yeah that felt great. My post that I did Monday ended up becoming ironic, adding to the comedic and sad tinge on my life. That is all I will elaborate on at this time. Read between the lines if you want. My heart has more bruises than a Rhianna concert. Yeah I went there haha. First social outing of the semester is tomorrow night. Hello Harryholics!!! So I do have to answer something to start off this season. Yes my first post of the season was supposed to be Friday. I have a link program where if I see something of interest I just click it and it goes here. WELL....it did not work as I found out on Saturday. Yes I know you are saying I could have just done a regular post, but honestly I was busy hanging out with my "significant other." So I just wanted to do something quick and funny. Well epic fail on that. I know we ended last season with some plot lines up in the air. First off, yes my paperwork is DONE!.....at least for Portland. I have yet to start on my Mississippi State paperwork. As I mentioned above I do have "significant other" in my life right now. It is still going strong, and I think that shall be the topic of the season opener. The weather here in Mississippi has been rather ape shit lately, at least to some people. Back in the day this state used to have rather frigid winters filled with snow. Of course when it snows here people go crazy. The snow outside is starting to thaw, and so is the ice that has been over my heart. Its been a whirlwind, but my feelings are started to become very deep for this person. My heart is truly starting to beat in a more upbeat fashion again. Its a great feeling and one I have not felt in awhile. My thoughts are truly dominated. I may look like I am somewhere else, and that is partly true because deep in my mind I am thinking about him. Well Harryholics its a new season of Harryholics Anonymous (Season 2 for those of you who are counting.), so cheers and lets have more fun!

Season Finale 11/1

Well Harryholics this is the last episode of the season. Yes you could say the word season is rather broad considering the time of year it is. In case some of you have not caught on, my Monday (in this instance Wednesday) posts are actually episodes. So in true television fashion season finales are usually huge and wrap up some lingering plot schemes, or in some shows it just drags it to the next season. I am going to try and give you the best of both...maybe. Maybe the word is out or not I have no idea, but I will do some elaboration on it. In the beginning...God made man...haha just kidding. The start of this season I was going through a life changer so to speak. My relationship of 4 years had come to an end. I was in a true funk that has lingered around through the course of this "season." Well to wrap up the season and maybe shed some light on possible rumors: I am talking to someone, and it has become serious. I am quite happy to the point that words cannot describe. The fact of the matter that I cannot even grasp words to describe how I feel about this guy or my situation speaks WORLDS. I am never one for lack of words. I am so excited and feel something I have not felt for anyone in some time. The plot will further play out next season. Now to maybe play out the other hanging elements of this season
Plot Closure?
Grad School: SO I really procrastinated this December to the point that I am pissed just elaborating on it All of my paperwork is together just have to type the essay and submit. That should all continue to play out next season
Friends: I have made some new friends and acquaintances this season, also visited some old friends that I have not seen in awhile. My friendship situation is getting somewhat better. I am trying to be a bit more social. This plot will also play out next season.
Holiday Hell: Not so much this year. I had no high expectations going in. I was able to do things very casually for once so I think that enabled me to have a great time. Did I get any cool gifts? Not really but do I care? No not really haha. I bought the things I wanted so I guess you can say I did get some cool gifts if that counts.
Random Stuff: Well I am random in case you haven't noticed, and I am pretty sure random stuff will continue for seasons to come.
Advice Finale
I know this year has been great for some and well shitty for others. The good thing about a new year is you get to start over again with a clean slate. Or for some of us our slate is somewhat clean. Part of the excitement of a new year is just the unknown. What is coming? What is going to happen to me/us this coming year? Will it be a year of success or a year of epic fail? Hello Harryholics, so what did I do today. Let me tell ya. Had a meeting with my stock broker(s) this morning. Let me tell ya what an experience that was. I was thrown right into the shark tank better known as the financial world. The office I went in to was opulent to say the least. The whole time all I could think was my money (bailout) paid for this office. I did wear a tie so didn't feel out of place. I will say I was getting stared up and down cause I had to be the youngest person there by oh lets say 20 years. I looked good I shall say. Saw myself in the mirror and went damn I could get used to this look. So let me share some other thoughts that ran through my head while in this "shark tank" of a financial institution.

Functioning Friday

Hello Harryholics! Glad to see you are all still alive. Functioning is the key word for today. Its actually a key word in my life right now. I am living yes, but I am functioning. Is it a great feeling? Not really. The feeling of just getting by day to day is not a great one. Anyway for the latest news coming out of my solar system. Took the GRE for the 3rd and FINAL time today. Needless to say it was mixed results as the past two have been. Today though had an unfortunate twist. About halfway in I was DOMINATING that test, then all of a sudden I get a feeling in my lower abdomen. The feeling or urge to piss. Yes thats right my bladder decided to fuck me over! The test center has weird rules about getting up and "suspicious behavior." So frankly I didn't want to fuck anything up, so I endured the urge to piss. As most of you hopefully know it just gets worse with every passing minute. Well this totally distracted me, and I think played a major part in the 2nd half of my test and the results that followed. Needless to say, as soon as I finished I FLEW into the bathroom. Damn it felt good. I was rather annoyed till I came home and saw all of my packages aka gifts to myself were in all at once. It was like Xmas Morning. So got alot of new stuff to play with today. It will keep my mind off of things for awhile. Hello Harryholics I did promise on the social medias that I shall update you on my birthday this past weekend. Well for one I had a great time. Its one of those birthdays you will remember. Will it top my Vegas trip. Well hell no, but it will be right up there on the list. I got to visit friends that I do not get to see very often. Got to visit one friend I have not seen in going on 2 years! It was a Lifetime Channel moment for sure. Everything about my trip was great, and in a way it was a social booster shot to the ass. It re-centered me for now. Something did come to the forefront of my thinking over this trip though. Its something that I see needs to be resolved. In a way though its kind of hard to do or deal with right now. I am buying my time and trying to feel things out and make the right decision. Those of you who know me know that can be a VERY hard thing for me to do at times. The best way I can describe this situation is that everything in my life is boxed away and has been put in neat little organized spots except one thing. That one thing sticks out like a baby at a Rob Zombie concert. I want it "organized" now! The thing is though I am making myself slow down and think my plan through. When the time comes I shall make my move.

Harryholics sometimes there are things that you need/have to deal with. Some of you may be like myself and want it dealt and over with. Sometimes though you have to slow down and plan it out. This Monday's blog entry I am dedicating to someone that inspired me growing up. In my humbleness I do declare myself a humorist. Those who know me quite will know that my humor falls in the range of dry/sarcastic to downright absurd. The person who deeply influenced my absurd side would be Leslie Nielsen. Yes those of you who are wondering where the hell does that name come from, he passed away recently. As a child I used to love watching his movies and just laughing at all the goofy stuff. Later on in years I still loved watching the movies. One thing I always enjoyed was going back, watching these movies, and catching a new joke every time. Yeah the humor in them was absurd and could be classified as stupid. Honestly though some of the funniest things I have ever seen or been apart of in my entire life were stupid. I salute you: Frank Drebin, Dick Steel, Mr Magoo. You may be gone but you are still alive in our hearts and memories. Surely you can't be serious Harry? I am serious and don't call me Shirley.

Something quite incredible will be happening in a few hours Harryholics. I am going to a party. Yes please remain calm, yes call 911 cause you are having a heart attack, and yes this may be the apocalypse. For the first time in YEARS I am going to a party. This is something different from what I have been doing, and it will be a true out of box experience for me. I guess one thing I should address now is that as crazy as I am, deep down I am actually quite shy especially around people I do not know too well. So in these situations I tend to be reserved.    Something has been bothering me lately Harryholics. I usually just bottle things up until well they explode. I feel like all of this needs to be expressed in written form. Consider this my therapy. Lately I have been trying to be more social and try to better myself. To put it this way, if this whole social thing was an experiment the results would show that my life has actually gotten worse since I started this. I literally feel like I am just bleeding away very slowly. Going out and trying to be more social has only led me to be more upset than I already was. I already knew the world was not a fun place, but in a sad naive way I have got to see just how ugly it really is. I am determined to be happy, but it seems the world is determined to keep me unhappy.
   I find myself upset alot. I try to battle back the feelings of anger, frustration, and sadness but I am slowly losing grip. Some of my clothes are not fitting (but in the good way I guess). I have lost weight and continue to do so. I am tired of trying. I did it one way it didn't work, I did it another way and that didn't work. I really just want to go back to my shell and never come out again. Oh so you are interested in me? Well when the time comes for you to act, you don't seem very interested in me at all. Surely you have people lined up. No I do not and I am as lonely as ever. Maybe you need to be more out there and social. I am doing that and I am more angry/sad than I was before. No Harry do not cut everyone off and go back into your shell. I hate it out here, and how can you expect me to continue this "experiment" when it hurts me more. Its cruel and unusual punishment that is being inflicted on me and you want me to continue?
   Find it funny that I share a birthday with Emily Dickinson, who basically shut herself off from society and died a lonely death. For awhile I though gee how depressing. But now after living this "social life" I see that you know maybe Emily had the right idea. Cause most people do not understand me, so whats the point of trying anymore? Many of you will probably be shocked upon reading all of this. I know that I seem happy and such. Truthfully deep down I am a very sad and lonely individual. Maybe now this glimpse into my soul will help alot of you see me more clearly. I know I am happy and always upbeat. Ever think that its just a facade? I do that because I want all of you to be happy. I want all of you to have something I have not felt in years. I guess I am like the mother who provides for the child the things that she never had. Really have no parting words to share this time. This week's episode shall deal with something I came to realize while driving back from my holiday hangover. The song Dancing Queen by ABBA can be used to find a gay man. I have on many occasions been doing my thing, then all of a sudden this song plays and I instantly start dancing. I have noticed too that the butchiest guy in jeans and boots can be broke down to well...a dancing queen when this song comes on. I am thinking Apple could market this product. I mean ever since they came out with the iPad which is a new "female product" its been great. Wait...I've just been informed by secretary that the iPad was an electronic device not a "female product". Ooopps. ANYWAY!..... follow to my advice of the week and I shall explain my thought process further.

For years Harryholics, my Gaydar has NEVER EVER worked. As of recent times it is a tad bit easier to tell if a guy is well...a dandy. Of course now with so much androgyny it is getting a tad harder. So my theory is carry a iPod with the song ready. Then all of a sudden just shove the ear buds in his ear and press play. If he starts dancing then you have a gay. Maybe the government should do studies into how this song just breaks "men" down. Years ago, a friend of mine and myself were walking through a crowded hotel lobby about eh 10ish. As we are passing the lounge/dance floor this song comes on. Well on cue we both break into dance and it was almost natural. Next thing I know we are dancing through the lobby singing the lyrics. Tis the Season to be Sagittarius 6/1

Some of you may or may not know that I do some studies into personality and astrological alignment. To the point now, as of today it is now Sagittarius season. Its great to know that I will now be in the company of others like me. Yes that means my birthday is coming up, and no I am not thinking about that right now. The matter at hand is that yes it is a holiday week. I am prepared to gain my 10 pounds in one day. It shall be a glorious calorie cataclysm. The radio stations are already starting to play Xmas music. Its truly unbelievable. I just never get into the Xmas mood until after Thanksgiving, or better known as after that day that I go from weighing 155 to 165 (yes I just told you my weight). Now on to the advice of the week.

Harryholics, pig the fuck out. Thats right eat up. Eat tons of food. If you are on a diet, tell it to f-off for a day. Enjoy the holidays, enjoy your family. In the event you don't enjoy your family, look at it this way you will enjoy them for the 30-45 minutes that they are so busy chewing they can't speak. So like I said, enjoy your families. For most of us college students this is a few days to just forget it all, then we return next week to be smacked in the face with a thing called reality aka finals. So in a way its like we are going to the armory to stock up before we go into battle. At least I know when an academic grenade blows my limbs off I will go out on a full stomach. Why am I singing this? Well some of you may know that as of yesterday iTunes FINALLY put the Beatles up. So like any western world 21 year old, I ran to iTunes and started downloading albums and songs like there was no tomorrow. In this episode of Harryholics Anonymous I shall be talking about a current/confusing trend. I will be honest Harryholics, I was not going to really work on the blog this week. Sorta stressful times here at Casa del Hawkins. All I have to say is grad school stuff plus social things are just killing me! So I have felt the need to sorta drift out of society lately. If I do this, please forgive Harryholics. ANYWHO! Today my Failbook inbox was FLOODED with requests to this thing called Q&A. After 10 minutes of not knowing what the hell these people were talking about, I finally figured out what the hell was going on. So apparently someone sends you a question and you answer it in your status. This makes a great tag into my advice of the week.
Advice of the Week
Harryholics do not act like narcissists. A recent study found that Failbook was the largest concentration of narcissists and people who exhibit these behaviors. It is a tad full of yourself and delusional to think that EVERYONE wants to asks you questions about your life and that EVERYONE wants to read your answers. Granted I am a tad confused on why so many people were requesting me to participate in this function. Truthfully I feel that I have a blog and feel no need to throw my Q&A answers out there on Failbook. So if any of you Harryholics want to ask me a question feel free. Seem to notice as well that the same people who are doing Q&A are the same folks who take the same Failbook profiles pictures with the same facial poses. You all know what I mean. So Harryholics my advice to you this week is: do not be a narcissist on Failbook, and do not be a loser who always does the same facial poses for pictures. New Friends, Old Friends, And Even a Bear 4/1

In this episode of Harryholics Anonymous we shall be exploring an explosion of social-ness around me recently. I have decided to slowly come out of my housewife clothes that I have worn for the past 4 years, and try to be alittle bit more...social. I will say its been quite fun and I feel young again. Random get together/party what ever the hell you want to call it that happened at my house this past weekend was totally fun. We shall all have to do that again Harryholics. Just sans the mooning, anatomy lessons, and curtain ripping. Meeting new people and making new friends is fun. Also having old friends around to mix in with the new crowd can be a thrill of its own.
Advice of The Week
Think out of the box Harryholics. This is one of those over used phrases that old guys like to tell us young guys. Or its one of those phrases you see on a poster at some corporate office. Thinking out of the box can range from just being creative to doing things out of your comfort zone. Here is where the lesson comes in. I am quite reserved and private when it comes to my personal life. The revelation that is in the above paragraph about a social happening at my house, or even me just saying that I am being more social might have caused some of you who have known me for years to just have a massive heart attack. Well after you are done reviving yourself put that defibrillator up and come back to the screen. See thats better. I recently have been acting out of my comfort zone. Doing things that I have not done in YEARS. I feel alive and young again. We get so used to living and breathing in our "box", but sometimes its fun to go to a new box. A hermit crab stays in its shell till it outgrows it and goes to another one. Eventually Harryholics we outgrow our boxes and its time to go to a new one or in a way think outside of it. Well its a typical Friday, I am back getting my car serviced again. Seems like I am doing that alot lately. Nothing is really wrong with my car just random servicing I have to do. Random servicing....sounds like a Paris Hilton weekend. Still feeling a tad ill because as mentioned above some girl was randomly macking on mac and cheese at 9:30 in the morning! The smell of food especially that, at that time of day is just GROSS. Besides that cannot wait to get back and just chill for the rest of the day. Nightmare on Jenn Lake Drive 3/1

In this episode of Harryholics Anonymous we shall be discussing a recent dream I had, which ironically coincided with Halloween. Yes I know most of you are saying but Harry that was yesterday. Well people I didn't have the dream until last night so......yeah. My dream started out as most of my dreams do: I am traveling somewhere. Everything seemed to be rather normal, the city appeared to be quite generic but upon further review I realized I was in NYC. I boarded the subway and in my thoughts I kept telling myself that I needed to get off at the 161st Street station in the Bronx. Well for those of you who do not know that is the Yankee Stadium subway stop. So apparently one can surmise I was on my way to watch a ballgame. Typical subway ride, then I exited the subway and proceeded into the stadium. Everything seemed rather usual until I entered the stadium. The usual pinstripes and white and blue colors had been replaced with brown and black. WTF! The NY logo was gone and in its place in huge lettering was: NY BLACK BEARS. Yes the Yankees had changed their name to the New York Black Bears, and had replaced their team colors with black and brown. About this time in the dream I started screaming, and running around trying to ask someone what the hell was going on. The only answer I could get was the fan base voted to change the name of Yankees which could be offensive to Northerners to Black Bears. The fan base was able to vote and this was their choice. Now most of you (at least the Mississippi Harryholics) are starting to see quite a parallel with a school from Oxford about now. Trust me after the craziness and fear I felt in the dream wore off I actually laughed my ass off (LMAO).
ADVICE OF THE WEEK
This is a perfect transition right into this section. My advice to my Harryholics this week is that we all want to be PC (politically correct) to some extent. The only problem with being PC and with most things people do nowadays is that eventually a nut job or someone totally takes it too far. Case in point: Yankees (Ole Miss) changing their name to the Black Bears. I have tried many times to be as PC as possible but end up getting confused and totally messing myself up. So my advice is be careful Harryholics cause if you try to PC too much you just might turn into a black bear. Remember Harryholics: Live life, Have fun, and above all Stay Alive.

Sorta seems like everyone is just too busy or all up in their own lives right now. Another part is that I just feel like no one really understands me or understands what I am going through right now.

Gummy Bears Have Feelings Too 2/1

In this episode of Harryholics Anonymous we shall be discussing how Gummy Bears Have Feelings Too....actually no. New episodes will be popping up on Mondays, so that will be the format for the future. I figure on Mondays since its the start of a new week I will usually just chat up about random stuff and talk about the week ahead. There will still be random content and entries popping up during the week as most of you saw this past week. Also another section that I am adding is Advice for the Week. I shall get into that more alittle later.
Not much on the docket for this week. Ever since I finished up my big semester project its been rather slow around here. I have to do something in Social Psychology where I have to be a different social identity for a day. I will keep you all up to date on that. Its quite lovely when I drag my ass out of bed on Monday mornings, shower, and then drive to school only to find we are not having class that day. I usually celebrate for about 2 minutes until realizing that I totally wasted my time this morning.
ADVICE FOR THE WEEK
This section will be popping up on Mondays. My criteria for this is I am not gonna go all high and mighty or a term we use around here Wirth on you, and try to tell how to live your lives. Frankly things and people that do that shit annoy me. They are usually the ones that have the most messed up lives. I am not going to pretend or lie to any of you. My life is not totally messed up but its rather crazy granted who's life isn't. So part of my criteria for advice of the week is it has to be something that I have been through and can speak from firsthand experience. Also I can see this getting more funny as I divulge embarrassing yet funny stories about myself. This week's advice is going to be always check your food inventory before you decide to cook. Some of you may know, but I am just not that great of a cook. Every now and then I have a moment where I decide I want to cook (what am I thinking at that moment I have no idea!). So my most recent screw up was I decided I wanted to make spaghetti. Well I made the sauce and it was wonderful, and went to put the meat in and whammo no meat. So what did I use as a substitute? Vienna Sausages....yeah those. Needless to say it looked quite horrible. As a friend of mine put it "looked like a bunch of dicks." The story got better. When I went to strain my noodles, I put the strainer too close to the bottom of the sink that I had freshly cleaned. Well, when the water hit the bottom of the sink it mixed with fresh soup and TADA I had soapy noodles (or as I called them Palmolive Noodles). So see Harryholics always check your food inventory before you cook. And one add on: make sure your sink isn't too soapy before you strain noodles. Its the one time you don't want a clean noodle. So currently checking out the poll results. Question posed was do you prefer Boxers, Briefs, Going Commando, or All of the Above (which was a sarcastic 4th choice). Well based off those 4 choices we have a 4 way tie. That means all of you are just screwy in the head. Thats why you are Harryholics. TADA! Not much going on lately. Been in a bit of a funk. Starting to wonder where did all the people in my life go? I am sure there are answers out there. I did watch Young Victoria last night. Great movie, I have always liked historical dramas of that nature. One thing struck me though, at certain parts of the movie especially the romantic ones I would randomly start weeping. It wasn't over the beauty of it, it was more over the acts and then I started reminiscing and wondering will that ever be me again? The one who is in love or being wooed by some guy. I am finding that its a rather lonely world out there especially when you have no friends around to hang on to, but it is situations like this that build inner strength. In other news I totally saw a cat on a leash. What is with people doing that!? I guess that gives new meaning to having your pussy on lockdown. Pilot 1/1

This is the pilot episode which in television terms is the episode where you pitch to the network the whole concept of your show; then proceed to beg and pray that you don’t get canned. Well let’s take this first post in the same way. Granted I am not going to be canned (unless someone hurls beer at me), but I am pitching to you my whole concept.

First off, thank you for stumbling to Harryholics Anonymous the first step in this process is you admitting that you have an addiction….to me. One of the first things you can learn about me (disregard that prior statement) is that I am one of the most non conceited people on the planet. I am very humble and NEVER for a minute forget who I am and where I stand. I have always said that there is a fine line between having confidence in yourself and being downright conceited to the point of delusion of grandeur.

Random fact is that for you astrology lovers out there I am a Sagittarius, which means I am quite friendly and have a great sense of humor. The other thing is that being half horse (centaur) I can suffer from hoof in mouth syndrome sometimes. One thing that will spare hurt feelings and will give you greater insight into my mind is: I am not a malicious person in any sense. So if I say something that may come off that way remember that I have the best intentions in mind. Now if I want to throw a zinger your way, then A. you deserve it, B. you are going to know that I am being malicious, and C. you deserved it. Because it takes quite a lot to piss me off.

Now that we have some ground rules out of the way. Let’s just hit the basics. Try to remember these folks because it seems I have to repeat the following info a lot. Of course if you are a Harryholic then you remember these things to the point that it is pickling your liver. My name is Harry Hawkins and I am a senior at Mississippi State University. I am majoring in Educational Psychology and would like to become a private practice counselor, and maybe do some university lecturing part time. One point that can be touchy for some people is that yes I am a homosexual. I do tend to go into conflict with my LGBTQ community over the following information. I am NOT activist bent in any way shape or form. I view my sexuality like my hair color. It is who I am no big deal. Some people think or perceive that I am closeted about my sexuality, but in my head it’s just not a big deal or anyone else’s business. So I just do not talk about it unless I am straight up asked about it. Do not misconstrue that I am not proud of who I am, that is quite contraire. The point of the matter is that I just do not view it as a big deal so therefore I do not ride floats and wave rainbow flags.

Something that will become apparent over time is that I do have a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. My sense of humor though can range from dry enough to kill a camel to the point of it being so blue (dirty) that you might want to cover your eyes. My advice to you all, just hold on and enjoy the ride you never know what angle or random thing I might just hurl at you next.

Now to pull this all back together. Since you all are a bunch of Harryholics, one of the big symptoms that you suffer from is mind fuck confusion. Its quite terrible. Do I have a plan for this blog? Not really. What is the content going to be? As stated earlier I have no plan but I do have some idea(s) and things that will be popping up (stay tuned). Will I do video entries? At this point and time I say no because frankly I hate hearing my voice, this all could change though cause I have had some Harryholics recently demanding that I do video entries; as stated we shall see. Do you have Twitter? For those Harryholics who know me quite well they know that I love Twitter, and if you turn your eyeballs to the left of this entry you will see my recent tweets. So if you have a twitter and/or reading this blog then yeah….follow me on Twitter you know you want to. Facebook? Yeah its 2010 I have Facebook, look me up. Myspace? Unfortunately yes I have that old decrepit thing, look me up at your own risk. Boxers or briefs? Neither (but I am not getting into that) Seeing someone? At this time no definitely am on the lookout. Starting to miss that feeling of being in love or being loved. Like long walks on the beach? Until the high tide comes in.
